Fighters Against Racism
Background
In our guild, we uphold the values of respect, inclusion, and equity — principles deeply rooted in the tradition of European martial arts.
Racism and discrimination have no place in our community. That is why we proudly support the Fighters Against Racism initiative.
HEMA is a martial art where everyone — regardless of background, skin colour, gender, or heritage — has the opportunity to grow, learn, and excel. Together, we stand against racism and discrimination by fostering a safe, inclusive, and brotherly environment where diversity is embraced and every individual feels welcome.

Our goal
It is a sad reality that many people still experience discrimination — and HEMA, like other martial arts, is not exempt.
That is why Fighters Against Racism (FAR) was founded by the London Longsword Academy: as a powerful symbol for all who are committed to building an inclusive and just community.
We stand firmly alongside this movement to make it absolutely clear — neither we, nor the wider HEMA community, tolerate any form of exclusion or discrimination. Whether based on race, gender, migration background, sexual orientation, or any other identity, discrimination has no place among us.
Together, we strive to create an environment where respect, equity, and brotherhood are not just ideals, but core principles in action.
FAR is a diverse group of martial artists united by a shared conviction: to take a clear stand against racism and ensure that everyone can practice and thrive in a community free from fear, judgment, or exclusion.
It is both a movement and a mission — with one simple, powerful goal:
To build a community where everyone feels safe, welcome, and free from hate.
And to those who do not share this belief: this is not the place for you.
